Personal Travel Planning, Directly With Cheryl

My goal is for you to travel better, with less guesswork and more confidence, without paying me an additional planning or booking fee.

I’m Cheryl Russo, the owner and travel advisor behind Impulsive Escape Travel. I’m based in Gig Harbor, Washington, but I work with travelers all over the United States.

I’ve always spent as much of my free time traveling as I can, even long before I started this business. I love experiencing the culture and meeting people, seeing the architecture, learning the history, trying the food and understanding what makes a place feel different from anywhere else. I’m just as happy exploring an old city or historic site as I am relaxing on a beautiful beach.

I don’t limit myself to one type of travel. I help plan cruises, resorts, guided tours, group trips, international vacations, multi-destination trips and just about anything else my clients come to me with.

I’ve completed training and certifications with cruise lines and destinations all over the world, from Antarctica and Norway to Australia and Africa, and pretty much everywhere in between. Europe, Alaska, Mexico, the Caribbean and Hawaii are places I know especially well from my own travels, but my clients travel all over the world.

Alaska is especially personal to me. I spent a summer living and working in the Alaska bush in the Wrangell-St. Elias mountains in my early 20s, and I’ve been back many times since by both land and sea. I’m also a Northern Lights chaser, and I love winter trips to Europe for Christmas markets.

The part I enjoy most is getting to know my clients. I tend to think of them more like friends and family, and that’s how I treat their trips too. I want to know what you like, what you don’t, what matters to you and what will make the trip feel right. You can ask me questions, bounce ideas off me and know I’ll tell you if I think something is a great fit or if I think there’s a better option.
