TRAVEL INSPIRATION
Destinations & Travel Ideas
These are some of the places travelers can’t stop talking about, plus a few I think deserve a lot more attention. Use this as inspiration, not a limit. I plan travel all over the world.

Europe
Europe is one of those places where one trip turns into a very long list of places you still want to see. Italy, Greece, the British Isles, Spain and Portugal, the Alps, the Adriatic, the Baltics, Turkey and Christmas markets are just the beginning.

Alaska, Nordics & Polar Regions
If dramatic scenery is your thing, this is where it gets really good. Alaska, Iceland, Greenland, Norway, the Northern Lights, the Arctic and Antarctica can all be experienced in completely different ways, whether that means a cruise, an expedition ship or exploring by land.

Extraordinary Journeys
Some trips start with a place. Others start with something you love. Trace your family roots, follow favorite films and TV shows through the places they were made, plan a food or wine trip, chase the Northern Lights, sail a river at Christmas, go on safari or finally take that once-in-a-lifetime world cruise. If there’s something you’ve always wanted to experience, I can help build the trip around it for you or your group.

Mexico, Caribbean & Central America
This is an easy part of the world to love, especially when you want sunshine without making the trip complicated. Mexico and the Caribbean have everything from adults-only and all-inclusive resorts to smaller boutique stays, while Costa Rica, Belize and El Salvador are great when you want a little more adventure mixed in.
All-Inclusive Vacations
All-inclusive vacations make it easy to bundle the resort experience into one trip. Your room, meals, drinks and plenty of the fun are wrapped into one vacation, so once you arrive, you can actually relax. You’ll find great options throughout Mexico and the Caribbean, plus places like Costa Rica, the Maldives, Mauritius, Zanzibar and other beach destinations around the world.

Hawaii & South Pacific
Hawaii will always be a favorite, but if you love island travel, there’s a whole lot more to consider. French Polynesia, Fiji, Australia and New Zealand can take you from overwater bungalows and small-ship cruising to road trips, wine country, beaches and some seriously incredible scenery.

Asia
Japan continues to be one of the destinations travelers ask about most. South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Bali, Taiwan and Hong Kong are getting more attention too. Asia works just as well for a city-focused trip as it does for a beach escape, guided journey or custom itinerary that combines a few different places.

South America
South America has some seriously incredible trips once you start looking beyond the obvious. Peru and Machu Picchu, the Galápagos, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Patagonia can be anything from food and wine to wildlife, history, adventure and some of the most dramatic scenery in the world.

Africa & Beyond
Some of the biggest bucket-list trips happen here. That might mean a safari in Kenya, Tanzania, Botswana or South Africa, exploring Morocco or Egypt, staying in incredible lodges, or seeing wildlife and landscapes you just don’t get anywhere else. This is one of those parts of the world where getting the details right can completely change the trip.
UPGRADE THE EXPERIENCE
A Little Extra Can Make a Big Difference
You don’t have to make every part of a trip expensive to make it better. Sometimes the upgrade that changes the whole experience is a private driver through Tuscany, a hotel in the neighborhood you actually want, a smaller guided tour, a better cruise cabin, or a private transfer after an overnight flight.
I’ll help you figure out where spending a little more is actually worth it and where it isn’t. The goal isn’t to make the trip more expensive. It’s to make the parts that matter easier, more comfortable and more memorable.

TRIP PLANNING FAQ
Questions About Where to Go and How to Plan It?
Not sure where to go, when to book, or what kind of trip makes sense? Here are answers to some of the questions I get most often before we start planning.
Absolutely. You don’t need to come to me with the whole trip figured out. If you know when you can travel, roughly how long you have, who’s going and what you want the trip to feel like, that’s usually enough to get started. Tell me what you’ve loved before, what you definitely don’t want, and anything that’s been sitting on your travel wish list. I can help narrow down the destinations that actually make sense for you.
I plan travel worldwide, but Europe, Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico and the Caribbean, along with the Nordic regions, are places I know especially well from my own travels.
I spend a lot of time in Europe and have traveled there by land, train and cruise ship. Alaska is especially personal to me because I spent a summer working in the Alaska bush when I was younger and have returned many times since.
My husband and I also love chasing the Northern Lights, so Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Greenland and the polar regions are especially fun for me to plan.
Antarctica is still on my own bucket list, but I know the cruise and expedition options well and can help match you with the right experience.
I may not have been everywhere yet, but chances are I’ve booked it, trained on it, researched it extensively or already have it sitting on my own travel list. If you have somewhere in mind, please ask me.
Yes. Custom international and multi-country trips are some of the best trips to have help with because there are so many moving pieces to get right. I can build the itinerary around how you actually want to travel, whether that means trains, private transfers, a few days with a guide, a cruise mixed with time on land, or several countries in one trip.
The goal isn’t to schedule every minute. It’s to make the complicated parts easy and spend your time and money where they make the biggest difference. Sometimes that means a private driver for the day. Sometimes the train is the better choice. I’ll help you figure out what makes sense for the trip you want.
Yes, of course I’m going to tell you it’s better to book through me, but here is why… An online booking site can show you a price and some pretty pictures. I’m looking at the things that can actually make or break the trip, like the beach, room location, resort size, food, nightlife, construction, adults-only areas, what’s really included and whether the resort fits the kind of vacation you want.
I also compare package pricing, promotions and any agency or supplier offers available to me, then help you sort out which upgrades are actually worth paying for. If something changes before or during the trip, you have me to come back to instead of starting over with a call center or chat box. My job is not just to book the resort. It’s to help make sure you booked the right one.
Absolutely. Luxury means different things to different people. For one trip, it might be a five-star hotel, private guides, first class and everything handled from the minute you land. For another, it might simply mean a better room, a private transfer after a long flight or spending more on the experiences that matter most to you.
I can help with everything from premium guided tours and luxury cruises to private drivers, special experiences, upgraded accommodations and more customized itineraries. I’ll also tell you when I don’t think the upgrade is worth the money.
The goal isn’t to make the trip expensive just for the sake of it. It’s to spend more where it actually makes the trip better.
Absolutely. If you’re already traveling that far for the cruise, I usually think it’s worth giving yourself some extra time to really experience the destination too. Europe, Alaska, Australia, Japan, French Polynesia and plenty of other places have so much more to see than what you can fit into a few hours in port.
I can help put the whole trip together, including hotels before or after the cruise, trains, transfers, rental cars, tours and extra time in the places you really want to experience. Sometimes a few extra days on land completely changes the trip and makes that long flight feel a lot more worthwhile.
It depends on what you’re planning. Cruises, guided tours, large resort groups and private charters can often be booked 18 months to two years or more in advance, so if you already know what you want, starting early gives you the best choice of dates, cabins, rooms and availability.
Peak travel dates need more lead time too. School breaks, major holidays and other popular periods mean a lot of people are looking for the same flights, rooms and cruises.
For many flexible individual trips, planning around six to ten months ahead works well. For peak dates or destinations with limited availability, I’d start sooner.
If you don’t see your destination here, that doesn’t mean I don’t book it. This page is meant to inspire you, not limit you. I plan trips all over the world, so if you already have somewhere in mind, tell me where you want to go and we’ll start there.
